Four GWCM Patient Appreciation Events Successfully Held in March

During this past year Great Wall Chinese Medicine (GWCM) has gone through tremendous growth. With the opening of the new Chandler location, the addition of new TuiNa Therapists and a new Licensed Acupuncturist, GWCM is not only grateful for this new growth but truly reveres the opportunity to increase the healing outreach throughout the valley. To show our gratitude GWCM held four patient appreciation events in March.

The four events were very successful, with over 100 established patients and their guests in attendance. During the event, guests were able to learn the history of GWCM’s path to successful healing along with detailed information on the new clinic and advanced services offered. New and existing staff members were also a part of the event, providing some of their background, experiences with GWCM, Q&A, as well as assisting with the discounted TuiNa massage, Moxibustion therapy and the complimentary Acupuncture treatments provided. Furthermore, we were thrilled to have many existing patients provide their own personal testimonies explaining how GWCM has changed their lives. Many of them provided written and video recorded testimonies due to their abundant level of passion for the clinic and the care they have received. New patients had questions answered by established patients rather than clinic employees and could feel more secure in their decision to get treatments done at GWCM.

·         Craig and Gina suffered from pain and limited range of motion in their arms and shoulders due to many years of working at a computer. After multiple tries at different doctors, physical therapy and chiropractic care, they finally found long-term relief and recovery from just one treatment at Great Wall Chinese Medicine.
·         Tung-Wei is now recommending international students to GWCM, who suffer from anxiety, digestive and sleep issues like he does. He understands that being far away from home and studying abroad can be challenging. Many students were afraid to ask for help when sick and sometimes would exacerbate into a more severe situation without proper treatment.
·         Amy, a registered nurse, found the combination of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment very helpful for her insomnia, migraines and irregular menstrual cycle. Amy was also trying to get pregnant for over a year before starting consistent treatments again at GWCM.  Within a month of resuming fertility treatments, Amy at the age of 42, became pregnant.

We would like to thank our patients and their guests for helping make these past events so successful! We would also like to thank our staff for providing professional and compassionate care. We are excited to announce that we will be continuing the patient appreciation events! Please sign up in advance to secure your spot! Schedule and reservations can be found on our website at www.chinesedrs.com. We look forward seeing you!

Acupuncture helps with appendectomy

Steve, his wife and daughter first came to Great Wall Chinese Medicine of Scottsdale three years ago. The family was in hopes of finding pain relief and recovery from an appendectomy. They knew that excessive pain medications would be prescribed but wanted to avoid them due to the adverse effects on children's health. After 3 acupuncture treatments, their daughter stopped using pain medications, regained her strength and recovered quickly. A few years later, their eldest daughter had unfortunately experienced the same appendectomy and the family decided to visit Dr. Xiao again. So many times, at GWCM, we are able to treat a patient in order to prevent surgeries such as this. In this case we are thankful of the amazing results their two children have experienced. The entire family strongly believe in the effects of Chinese medicine. Steve, a manager at a local Starbucks and his wife, a teacher’s assistant knew that the costs would be an out of pocket expense, and not covered by insurance but state that this is an affordable and effective treatment for all income levels. As always, Dr. Xiao and her team have gone above and beyond to help these children. Thank you to Steve and his family for their support.

8 sessions Acupuncture helps with 20 years hearing loss

Paige Griffin, a patient at Great Wall Chinese Medicine (GWCM), was diagnosed with hearing loss at the age of seven, but has been dealing with struggles of hearing loss since she was an infant. She has undergone numerous surgeries with none of them having a significant impact on her hearing. Going forward, as a student and athlete, Paige’s life has been severely impacted.  Not being able to hear full sentences or even at all in loud settings has been very challenging to say the least. Her first time doing acupuncture was a very relaxing and peaceful experience which is different from the intimidating environment she was picturing before coming. After about 9 treatments her hearing began to improve tremendously, and can now hear more than she has ever heard in her entire life. At home she has had to lower the TV or radio volume because it was too loud.  Paige is also now able to hear others talk while in groups with loud background noise. Previous to treatments, she felt like there was a block in her ears that has now been lifted, allowing the noises around her to be fully heard. She loves the staff at GWCM and how uplifting and exciting the environment is for patients improvement and well being. Ultimately Paige recommends Acupuncture to others because of how much it has impacted her life. She can now hear more than ever before and her life has been improved tremendously.
